Dinovember 2023: Kaijusaurs of Chimeria (Week 5)
Day 27 - Fey/Kaijusaur: Goetiasquama (Greek γοητεία (goetia), "lower magic" + Latin squama, "scale") Height: 1 feet (0.31 meters) Length: 2 feet (0.61 meters) Weight: 4 pounds (1.82 kilograms) Diet: Omnivore Setting: Lost Land, Fantasy, Mythology, Urban, Futuristic Danger Rating: 1/10 Attacks & Abilities: Dazzling sparkle spray, biting and clawing, climbing, gliding As a general rule, the size and ecological niche of a kaijusaur are major influences on its aesthetic, and form follows function even for the most extravagant. Features that evolved for show can still have practical use, such as in defensive intimidation, but only when their owner is big enough; smaller kaijusaurs, being more vulnerable to predators, tend to be more subdued, with their own display structures being generally concealed unless absolute safety is guaranteed. But one of the very smallest kaijusaurs of all appears to be the exception rather than the rule, and in an ironic but fitting twist, the diminutive

Day 20 - Kaijusaur/Giant Spider: Basilania (Greek βασιλεύς basileus, "monarch" + ἠλαίνω ēlainō, "to roam", as in the outdated genus "Megalania") Height: 8.5 feet (2.59 meters) Length: 55 feet (16.76 meters) Weight: 7.5 tons (6.8 metric tons) Diet: Omnivore Setting: Lost Lands, Apocalypse, Fantasy, Horror Danger Rating: 6/10 Attacks & Abilities: Neurotoxic projectile poison, crushing bite, rending claws, venomous spines, all-terrain mobility The desert regions of the Lost Lands are less hospitable to megafauna than other areas where rainfall is more frequent, as there are fewer resources to go around, so more active creatures such as kaijusaurs aren't as common in such places, and any that are tend to be smaller in scale. This doesn't mean there aren't any large-bodied prehistoric beasts to be found in these habitats, however - it's just that they pursue lifestyles that aren't as demanding, though that doesn't make them any less formidable. The most common megafaunal predator of the
Happy New Year, everyone! As we go into 2024, I have a total of 1.7K watchers and 357.9K pagteviews, and I seriously can't thank every one of you who has viewed my page and my gallery enough for all of your support! To celebrate this coming year and start things off strong, I've decided to give you guys the opportunity to contribute to Sundo in a very big way. So to that end, I give you... THE 2024 CELEBRATORY CONTEST TO DESIGN THE NEW AND IMPROVED LEGENDARIES OF THE SUNDO REGION! That's right - I'm thinking of replacing the Legendaries for this region, due to giving it a major overhaul in general, but because I'm struggling to think of anything that could work for such big and important roles, I am in need of your help! In fact, I'm struggling to think of any solid concepts for all of my Legendaries in general - with the exceptions of the Mythicals for this region, Yaninay (whom I'm changing from an Ultra Beast to a Mythical since I'm removing UBs from this project entirely)
Y'all are getting no April Fool's joke from me this year, alas. The only fool here is me, for I thought I could finally get art and other personal things done at a reasonably steady pace, but Things Have Happened and I need to focus on them above all else. So until further notice, unsolicited DMs are closed, both on here and on Discord. Namely, I will talk with people on DMs only if I reach out to them with a message of my own. The only exception to this is reminders about commissions I still owe people, and I will only be able to respond to such inquiries outside of my work hours. Thank you in advance for your understanding. I hope I'll be able to resume making art and such as soon as I can, but as always, patience is a virtue! I'll just have to keep on trucking as best I can with what little time and energy I still have...
